ABOUT ME
NOAH SMITH

WHERE I COME FROM
I am an East Tennessee Republican born and raised right here in Campbell County. I am a descendant of the local Ayers Family and Smith Family. My parents, Michael and Joye Smith, raised me to be a God-Fearing, Hardworking, Patriotic American. Both of my grandfathers, R.L Ayers and Roy Smith, and my great-uncle Hack Ayers instilled in me the drive for community involvement, public service, and conservative values. I am a product of my local community, the Campbell County Public School System, and my home church at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. I am a Tennessee Volunteer and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
A THRIVING CAREER
Currently, I am an airline pilot with a major regional airline in the United States. My career started as a boradcatser and videographer with 1450 WLAF Radio and TV. From there, I worked for the Campbell County Public School system as a Technology Department aid and then decided to run for the school board in 2018. At just 18 years old, I was elected to the Campbell County School Board and served my full two-year term with grit and determination. I even served as Vice-Chairman of the School Board from 2019-2020. During my time at UT, I was an intern for UT President Randy Boyd and took a full-time job working for him after I graduated in 2022. Randy Boyd gave me the opportunity to be his Executive Administrative Assistant, and I knew there was no better person to learn from than him. While working for UT, an opportunity opened up to pursue my passion for flying and aviation, and I took the opportunity. I am a firm believer that if God opens a door for you, we must have the faith to say yes. I worked relentlessly to earn my FAA certificate, became a flight instructor, and then took the job as a First Officer Airline Pilot with my current regional airline.
